Quick Capture

Quick Capture lets you create new locations instantly by capturing your current GPS position. Perfect for on-site setup.

When to Use Quick Capture


  • Setting up a new facility

  • Adding locations while walking a property

  • Ensuring accurate GPS coordinates

  • How to Quick Capture

    From the Admin Dashboard:

  • Navigate to Locations

  • Click Quick Capture

  • Allow browser location access when prompted

  • Wait for GPS to stabilize (shows accuracy)

  • Enter location name and details

  • Click Capture and Save
  • Tips for Best Results:

  • Stand at the main entrance or center of the location

  • Wait for GPS accuracy to show < 10 meters

  • Be outdoors or near windows for better signal

  • Take a photo to help identify the spot later
  • Captured Information

    Quick Capture automatically records:

  • Latitude and longitude

  • GPS accuracy at capture time

  • Timestamp

  • Device information (for troubleshooting)
  • Adjusting After Capture

    If the captured coordinates aren't perfect:

  • Edit the location

  • Adjust coordinates manually, or

  • Use Quick Capture again from a better position
  • Default Radius

    Quick Capture sets a default 50m radius. Adjust based on:

  • Location size

  • GPS reliability at that spot

  • Indoor vs outdoor
  • Organizing Quick-Captured Locations

    After capturing multiple locations:

  • Review each for accuracy

  • Assign to appropriate areas/groups

  • Add detailed descriptions

  • Set appropriate check-in radius for each
